He rode off, and the unfortunate man continued crawling across the hot sand until he came to a beautiful Hotel. He crawled up the step, crying: 'Water! Water!'

Women Talk More Than Men

 A husband, proving to his wife that women talk more than men, showed her a study which indicated that men use on the average only 15,000 words a day, whereas women use 30,000 words a day.
丈夫对妻子说女人比男人罗嗦，为了证明，他还给妻子看了一项调查结果：男人平均每天说15000个字，而女人每天则说30000个字。

She thought about this for awhile and then told her husband that women use twice as many words as men because they have to repeat everything they say.
妻子想了想说：女人每天说的字数之所以是男人的两倍，是因为女人必须重复自己已经说过的每一句话。

 When my printer's type began to go faint, I called a repair shop where a friendly man told me that the printer probably needed only to be cleaned.

Because the shop charged 50 pounds for such cleanings, he told me, it would be better for me to read the printer's directions and try the job myself.

Pleasantly surprised by his words, I asked, "Does your boss know that you discourage business?"

"Anybody caught breaking this rule will be fined $20 the first time."

 A young executive was leaving the office of a major corporation late one evening when he found the CEO himself standing in front of a shredder with a piece of paper in his hand. 
天已经晚了，一位年轻的经理正要离开他所工作的大公司，忽然看见总裁正站在碎纸机前面，手中还拿着一张纸。

Eager to make a good impression, the young exec introduced himself and asked if he could be of any help. 
为了给总裁留个好印象，这位年轻的经理向总裁作了自我介绍并询问是否需要帮助。

"Why yes," said the CEO, holding up the piece of paper. "This is a very sensitive and important document, and my secretary has gone for the night. Can you make this thing work?" 
“是的”总裁举起手中的纸说：“这份文件十分机密，我的秘书已经下班走了。你知道怎么使用这台机器么？”

"Certainly," said the young executive, happy for a chance to help the boss. The young man turned the machine on, inserted the paper, and pressed the start button.

 One day a college professor of Psychology was greeting his new college class. He stood up in front of the class and said, "Would everyone who thinks he or she is stupid please stand up?"

After a minute or so of silence, a young man stood up.

 My mother and I were standing at he check-out in the supermarket as the cashier scanned the things we bought.

When the price of a bottle of orange juice was scanned as $4, my mother said "It's only $3.95."
当扫描到一瓶桔汁时，屏幕上显示为4美元，我妈妈说：“那瓶应该是3块9毛5分。”

The cashier stopped what she was doing and disappeared down one of the aisles to check the price. She soon returned and said that the price was $3.95.

When she handed my mother the change, a five cent coin rolled onto the floor. Much to my amusement, as the cashier bent over to search for it, my mother said "Oh, don't bother, it's only five cents."

I Didn’t Recognize You

 A middle aged woman has a heart attack and is taken to the hospital. While on the operating table she has a near-death experience.
一位中年妇女患了心脏病，被送到医院。在手术过程中，她经历了神奇的临终体验。

During that experience she sees God and asks if this is it.
她看见了上帝并问他自己是不是快要死了。

God says no and explains that she has another 30-40 years to live.
上帝说不是，还说她还能再活三四十年呢。

Upon her recovery she decides to just stay in the hospital and have a face lift, liposuction, breast augmentation, and a tummy tuck.
手术康复后，她决定先不出院，而是做了一系列其他的手术：面部拉皮，抽脂，隆胸和腹部除皱。


She even has someone come in and change her hair color.

She walks out the hospital after the last operation and is killed by an
ambulance speeding up to the hospital.

She arrives in front of God again and asks, "I thought you said I had
another 30-40 years?"

 A guy is reading his paper when his wife walks up behind him and smacks him on the back of the head with a frying pan. 

He asks, "What was that for?" 

She says, "I found a piece of paper in your pocket with 'Betty Sue' written on it." 

He says, "Jeez, honey, remember last week when I went to the track? 'Betty Sue' was the name of the horse I went there to bet on." She shrugs and walks away. Three days later he's reading his paper when she walks up behind him and smacks him on the back of the head again with the frying pan. 

He asks, "What was that for?" 

She answers, "Your horse called."

A girl asked her mother for ten cents

 A little girl asked her mother for ten cents to give to an old lady in the park. Her mother was touched by the child's kindness. "There you are, my dear, but, tell me, isn't the lady able to work any more?"
 "Oh yes," came the reply. "She sells sweets!"

Panda in a Bar

 A panda walked into a bar. He went up to the bar and said "I'd like a steak and kidney pie and a Coke please" so the barman took his order and the panda went to sit down. Soon a waiter brought over his meal. The panda ate it up, thanked and tipped the waiter and paid the bill.

All this seemed pretty normal until the panda pulled out a gun from the depths of his fur, pulled the trigger and BANG! shot the waiter.

The barman came over and said "Wha.. wh.. You just shot my friend!!!"

the panda calmly replied "Do you know what I am?"

"Why yes," the barman answered. "Your a panda."

"Good," the panda nodded "Now go home and look up 'panda' in the dictionary." And with that, the panda walked out of the bar.

The barman was a little unsure, however he was very eager to be enlighted on the subject of his friend's murder, so he went home to find his dictionary.

After a while, he found 'panda' and quickly read the definition:

PANDA:1. A black and white bear native to China. Eats shoots and leaves.

 A guy walked into a little corner store with a shot gun and demanded all the cash from the cash drawer. After the cashier put the cash in a bag, the robber saw a bottle of scotch that he wanted behind the counter on the shelf. 
 He told the cashier to put it in the bag as well, but he refused and said "Because I don't believe you are over 21." 
 The robber said he was, but the clerk still refused to give it to him because he didn't believe him. At this point the robber took his drivers license out of his wallet and gave it to the clerk. 
 The clerk looked it over, and agreed that the man was in fact over 21 and he put the scotch in the bag. The robber then ran from the store with his loot. 
 The cashier promptly called the police and gave the name and address of the robber that he got off the license. They arrested the robber two hours later.
