Mikel Arteta has confirmed the midfielder is back at London Colney while he searches for a new club and works towards his coaching badges.

Wilshere, 29, has been without a club since leaving Bournemouth in the summer.

He left Arsenal in 2019 after 17 years to join West Ham and Arteta says Wilshere has now returned as the Gunners help him with the "next stage" of his career.

Arteta told Arsenal.com: "What you should believe is that we want to help Jack prepare for his next stage, physically, mentally.
