    my initial reaction aside from laughing my butt off was wondering why it's even possible for someone to get a doctorate in chinglish... and that English should remain pure.

          I mean I get that English is a poetically vague language capable of mutations and that Chinglish gives insight to Chinese linguistics.... but as someone who speaks both I can't help but laugh and/or cringe every time I chance upon it.

                    yeah.... it gets hilariously misleading. like... fragrant and spicy marxism.
                    Still, I think Chinglish has the potential to become its own separate language. Perhaps in our lifetime at this rate....

                              Maybe Chinglish won't become a separate language, but rather an acceptable standard out of sheer ubiquity.
