Jennifer Beals has landed the lead role in the Fox TV pilot, Ridealong. Filming will begin in Chicago on Tuesday, April 6. However, there were reports on both Twitter and Facebook of filming taking place in downtown on Saturday, April 2.
Ride-Along revolves around on a rogue cowboy cop (Clarke) and Chicago’s first female police chief (Beals) who vow to clean up the streets.
Beal’s character is Teresa, “a young, female chief of police” who is “attempting to navigate Chicago politics.”
The show will be “filmed primarily on the streets with our cops’ vehicles serving as their offices. It will be part cop procedural, part buddy comedy, part political thriller, part undercover drama… or it will just be a huge mess,” its creator, Shawn Ryan said. “But I’m going to try to make it good.”
If Ridealong is picked up by Fox, Ryan is hoping that it will be filmed entirely in Chicago.
