As you all know, Starcraft II went Beta state this week, and we are happy to tell you that the Gaias Retaliation team is going to create a SC2 version of this map, too.
As Starcraft II brings mapping onto a whole new level of perfectionism, we are finally able to do things that were never possible on Warcraft III, to create an even better ORPG.
Just a preview of things you can expect on the upcoming SC2 version of Gaias Retaliation ORPG:
Complete fantasy setting with custom unit models, medieval terrain and doodads, objects, etc.
Unique customizable character creation with alternate selectable heads and customizable starting stats
complete Custom UI, using the brand new powerful UI customization of Starcraft II (Inventory, stats, talents, ability quickbar, map, etc.)
'real' wisdom and constitution stats, not just some hero abilities
talent tree
modular mapping (smallers maps = smaller filesize = more diversity)
3rd person camera
'real' enterable buildings ... no more signals and ugly teleportation!
a multi-floor system
and of course: all features you already got in Gaias Retaliation ORPG for Warcraft III - threat system, interuptable spells, item attachments, advanced classes, etc.
In order to present you a whole new level of map quality, we are still looking for a skilled modeller, who is able to generate models with AutoDesk 3DS max and/or AutoDesk mudbox (optional) and is able to animate them properly.
