This is the morning of the 1000m prelim and 3000m relay final. I haven't felt this confident my entire time here. Everything is coming together... the team, my technique, my mentality and focus... it's all good. Usually the first thing I think the morning of a race is, "Today is the day." That has never been more true than here at the Olympic Games. It isn't just, "we'll see if it happens," anymore. It's, "let's make this happens because this is the day we've been training for." It feels good to know I've worked so hard and given so much in order to feel completely prepared for these race days. As far as the 1500 goes... I'm happy with myself. With approx. 7 laps to go a clicked blades with Seung Hi Park from Korea. I lost my focus for a split second and didn't recover in an efficient way putting me in last place; but from there I didn't give up which is what is most important to me. I know I could have won; and I wish I had, but I gave my all in that race and I'm beyond satisfied with my effort if not the result. So now my focus changes to the relay and 1000m. Our team is super strong and ready to give it our all. I can't wait to race as a team and show the whole world what the United States has to be proud of. Please cheer us on:) And if you don't already please follow my facebook fanpage and twitter. Those are the most up to date to follow my skating.
