Fabio Capello will not step down as England manager following the Three Lions' 4-1 defeat to Germany that dumped his side out of World Cup 2010.
The Italian coach was at a loss to explain his side's embarrassing defeat in Bloemfontein, but after the game emphatically declared he would not resign from his position.
When asked in a post match press conference if he was contemplating leaving his post, Capello replied simply, "Absolutely no".
The Italian then went on to explain that he would be seeking talks with his employers to ascertain whether they believed he was still the right man for the job, a move which is certain to fuel speculation as to whether he will remain as England manager.
"We have to wait until I come back to London," he added.
"I want to speak with the [FA] chairman to decide my future. Whether they have confidence in me or not."
最后一线希望是他被解雇。。。。
