Interchapter - 1 - Machu Picchu Charter and the return of the Block System

对于柯布西耶主义的革新，最早可以追溯到制定于1977年的《马丘比丘宪章》。在马丘比丘山上的古文化遗址前，多位世界顶级设计师以《雅典宪章》为出发点各抒己见，批驳了席卷世界的城市化和现代化浪潮，重新制定了新的现代城市规划标准。这份以宪章为底的行业标准批评了现代主义中对城市空间的连续性要求，反对将私人汽车看作现代交通的基本出发点，并强调城市规划应考量动态的、变化的多功能性。近代建筑的主要问题已经不再是纯体积的视觉表演，而是创造人脉能够生活的空间。要强调的已不再是外壳而是内容，不再是孤立的建立，不是它有多美、多讲究，而是城市组织结构内在的连续性。目标应当是把那些失掉了它们的互相依赖性和互相连续性，并且已失去其活力和涵义的组成部分重新统一起来。该宪章最终指出，新的城市化概念追求的是建成环境的连续性。
The roots of Cobusiereanism innovation can be traced back to the establishment of the Machu Picchu Charter in 1977. In front of the ancient cultural relics on Machu Picchu mountain, several top designers from around the world expressed their opinions based on the Athens Charter, criticizing the global wave of urbanization and modernization, and redefining new standards for modern urban planning. This charter-based industry standard criticized the modernist requirement for continuity in urban space, opposed the notion of private cars as the fundamental basis for modern transportation, and emphasized that urban planning should consider dynamic and versatile functionality. The primary concern of modern architecture is no longer pure visual spectacle, but the creation of spaces where people can live and interact. The focus shifts from the shell to the content, from isolated buildings to the inherent continuity within the urban organizational structure. The goal is to reestablish the interdependence, continuity, vitality, and meaning of components that have lost them. Ultimately, the charter concludes that the pursuit of the new concept of urbanization is about the continuity of the built environment.
