Recovering

The most difficult part of training is, a lot of times, the recovery. Warming up and cooling down, stretching, ice baths, sleeping enough and nutrition! I'm glad to say that I've been recovering well from my post olympic hip injury. Actually I've had bad hips for almost a year now, but was forced to wait until after the olympics to take rehab seriously. Everyday is a new adventure as I learn how to read my body and gauge what it can and can't handle. It's an extremely tedious road that I'm on, but the only way I can make it through the day is by thinking positively and making small goals. And also through... recovery!
Post work-out recovery meals is a huge part of feeding my muscles so that they can repair and grow stronger, faster. My main recovery snack has always been a banana with peanut butter:) Justin's Organic Nut Butter to be precise. Sometimes I switch it up with an apple or even a half a sandwich, but peanut butter is always the main ingredient! And with Justin's I can choose from so many flavors like honey peanut butter, maple almond, and even chocolate hazelnut so my snack is always new and delicious.
