SlingShot is a lightweight unit that converts existing tactical radios to TacSat, maintaining real-time BLOS comms in all situations and locations.

翻译过来就是把普通无线电的UHF & VHF段频率转换成TacSat信号（美国TacSat-4卫星主要针对高纬度地区通信能力不足，采用大椭圆轨道设计，可提供包括高纬度地区在内的近似全球的、非连续的覆盖。单次过顶可保证一个战区（3.7km范围内）2小时以上的连续覆盖，同时每天可对多个战场进行覆盖。），也就是无线电通讯里的打卫星。
