Everyone knows Sherlock Holmes is a famous private eye in the novel called “The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes”. written by Sir Author Conan Doyle. Sherlock Holmes was born on January 6th. He has a hawked nose and black hair. He likes riding horses, and he is good at chemistry. Sherlock Holmes always has a ceramic pipe in his hand. He also has a pair of Persian slippers which he often put his tobacco in one of them. Do you think this is very interesting? Sherlock Holmes lives on Baker Street 221 B in England, where it is a museum of Sherlock Holmes now. Sherlock Holmes has an older brother named McCullough Holmes, but his friend Dr Watson may be more famous. In my opinion, Sherlock Holmes is the wisest person I know.

III. Why do I like Sherlock Holmes?
In my opinion, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is a very famous detective story. Reading this book can make every nerve of mine jump. Each chapter of the book is full of suspense, forcing me to keep reading. It’s so interesting and so exciting, I just can’t stop reading. Also, I think reading this book can exercise my logical reasoning ability. When I am reading, I must keep all details in my brain. I must imagine that I am Sherlock Holmes and how would I solve this case. Believe it or not, I think reading this book can improve my courage. You know, there are so many murders and so many deaths. So after I became a Sherlock Holmes’ fan, I felt braver than before.

VI. What have I learned from Sherlock Holmes?
I have learned a lot from Sherlock Holmes, especially the reasoning ability. I used Sherlock Holmes reasoning to help my cousin one time. Last winter vacation, my family went to Singapore. My cousin lost her sunglasses in the Singapore Zoo. She felt anxious about it. At that time, my reasoning ability learned from Sherlock Holmes came in handy. Were the sunglasses in the tiger mountain? Of course no. I saw her wearing them when we came out. Were they in the flamingo park? No, my aunt took them at the park. Were they in the lion park? It’s really impossible that the sunglasses were lost in the lion park, because we stayed in the lion park for only a short time and we didn’t take any pictures there. But Sherlock Holmes told us not to rule out the possibility of the facts, even if it is impossible. I remembered that my cousin tied her shoes in the lion park.
