"I only have two years before Sochi" said Takahashi. Takahashi was approached by Morozov just before the Worlds. "I thought a lot about it, but I made up my mind believing that he would give me good advises preparing for Sochi."
Morozov said "Daisuke was one of my favorite skaters. We parted under not-so-happy circumstances in the past, which I felt regrettable." He spoke very highly of Takahashi that "Daisuke used to be one of the greatest skaters. Now he has become one to leave his mark in the history. I myself need to continue developing further to keep up with him."

Takahashi's new competitive programs have not yet been finalized.
"I approached Lori Nichol," he said. "I was very much looking forward to working with her. But the circumstances have since changed."
When asked if Morozov would choreograph his 2012-13 programs, Takahashi demurred.
"Probably not this season," he said. "At this time, we have not decided who will choreograph my new programs."
