Iron Curtain: An explosion of fine colors, not in a garish, but rather in an elegant way.
As for this Professor Armstrong, played by
our Paul, is the most handsome scholar ever!
The Young Philadelphians: witty and terribly smart and upright as the role of a lawyer rising to his fame, our Paul holds my attention close when he speaks for his friend charged with a crime he actually hasn't committed. What a flow of his vindication tit for tat at the dock (被告席) when he crosses verbal swords and makes it at long last overruling the unanimity of opinions and overturning the whole case against great odds ! The Hustler: I don't think the part enacted by our Paul, has ever tried to hustle up others, deliberately, but he gets hustled by life itself treating him harshly. It did not bring tears to my eyes, but still there is a tragic sense when the film draws to its finale.
