The white apple computer hummed loudly as Claire inserted a CD for iTunes to burn. This wasn't what she had intended on doing on such a sunny friday afternoon, but here she was, cross-legged on her bed, trying to get the snail-speed computer to load faster.
The CD was for a party on Sunday. One of her best friends, Jesse, was having his 17th birthday. Some girls decided to throw him a surprise party -- since they didn't get invited to his real party. Claire was invited, of course, but she had no interest what-so-ever. What was the fun of spending a whole day hanging around a bunch of whacked-out boys who were quintessentially freaks? Yeah, Jesse's friends weren't that interesting.
Reality check: Friday afternoons were suppose to be fun. Everyone gathered either at a theater or someone's house. Not this time.
Claire frowned as the CD whirled to a stop, unable to burn anymore songs. Things were more or less weird lately. Problems were arising everywhere. There's those love problems amongst couples; back-stabbers with friends. Plus, the teachers were assigning so much homework that school itself was becoming lethel. This isn't exaggerating.
Sure, there were always daily problems, but now this is getting out of hand. Maybe too many things are rushing in all at once, or maybe something else was going on. Claire could come to this conclusion, since everything had its connection to the new girl --- Seneia Clearwater. She was perfect, except she was missing a flaw. She excelled at all subjects, so the teacher gave her all the slack -- no homework. She was pretty and that brought immediate popularity -- something Claire worked so hard to get. Rumors have it that she was a bi, but that only made girls AND boys jump at her. What the hell was going on?
Isabella from Twilight may be a magnet for trouble. But this princess was a magnet for fabulousness.
