To certify documents you will need to take your original document and a copy to an authorised individual and have them stamp and sign (i.e. certify) that the copy is a true likeness of the original document.
Please note that UQ has authorised the following individuals to certify documents:
*Justice of the Peace (who must also provide their registration number);
*Notary Public;
*Solicitor / lawyer / barrister;
*Police officer ranked Sergeant or above, or in charge of a station;
*Staff member of an Australian Embassy or Consulate;
*The University of Queensland Student Union;
*The UQ Student Centre;
*UQ's authorised representatives (ie agents); or
*An Officer within the official records department or a person in a senior position (for example, Provost, Head of School, Dean) at the institution that originally issued the documents.
