Recent reports indicated that Rasheed Wallace might be reconsidering his decision to retire. Celtics coach Doc Rivers, however, said Monday from the Summer League in Orlando that Wallace is helping the team by delaying an official decision.

The media outlined the pros and cons of both options while fans weighed on what would be the best move for Rivers.

Celtics coach Doc Rivers, after deciding to return for the final year of his contract, went a good deal further in his response.

“Oh, it’s huge,” he said. “I mean, we need Ray back. He’s big for our team and what we try to do. You know, Ray has sacrificed more than anybody on our team of the Big Three. So it’s huge for us to bring him back.
