40年前的老歌，居然现在听起来还有这么强的时代感。

所谓先知。

再来说说这首歌，沉默之声。

一九六五年原本在高中就组成「汤姆与杰利」（Tom and Jerry）合唱团的赛门与葛芬柯推出了＜沈默之声＞，引起极大的回响，促成这对双人组在尔後近七年历史性的合作。这首歌除了成为二人以「赛门与葛芬柯」为名的第一章正式专辑的名称外，也成为一九六七年对於美国近代文化有深刻影响的一部电影《毕业生》的主要主题曲（整部影片皆由二人的歌曲配乐）。

这首歌透过一个如先知般的歌手的失眠，传达他无法漠视的社会畸形发展，即便自己所发出的声音无人闻问，也要以微弱的声音向社会提出警讯。主流社会沈溺於物质崇拜，忽视社会上贫富不均等问题，在表象上似乎五光十色，百家争鸣，然而就社会真理与正义而言，这些都只是无声的沈默之声，一如癌症逐渐在吞噬这个社会。
