In Deadfellas, he is the only mortal that needs to be targeted to complete the mission.

Dorothy "Tootie" Cohn is based on a character from sitcom series "The Facts of Life". Her name is derived from the character Dorothy "Tootie" Ramsey and actress Mindy Cohn (who has been played as Natalie Green).
In sitcom TV series, Tootie and Natalie were shown as best friends. In Ghost Master, the two are sharing the same surname (and presented eventually as sisters, so that would explain the close relation between them).

【Dr. Brunner】
Almost nothing is known about this mysterious figure.
Dr. Brunner is a mortal. She's the mysterious primary antagonist of the game who makes her first appearance by freeing Dr. Krauss from his cell in the Gravenville police station. She's later seen walking down from the hidden asylum area of Gravenville's hospital, followed shortly afterwards by a trio of Ghostbreakers. Finally, her last appearance is during the Ghost Master's attempt to destroy the anti-ghost bomb, during which she deploys the Ghostbreaker's secret weapon.

【Dr. Krauss】
Dr. Krauss is intent on preventing his errant students from stealing the power of the Darkling for themselves.
Dr. Krauss is a mortal. He is a professor of the occult who wishes to summon the Darkling and use it for his own nefarious purposes. He began using his own wife in various experiments and dark rituals, driving her insane and leading to her death and transformation into the banshee Moonscream. He hastily buried her body in the basement of his cabin, padlocked and hid the basement doors, and moved his experiments back to the university.
Three of Dr. Krauss's students - Bruce Elm, Richard Getley, and Sarah Knowby - stole his notes and traveled to the doctor's remote cabin to find his occult tome, hoping to summon and control the Darkling for their own plans. Though the professor found out about the theft and tried to stop them, he was scared away from the cabin by the Ghost Master, allowing the students to complete the ritual and lose their souls to the partially summoned Darkling.
Investigating the disappearance of Dr. Krauss' wife, the police found disturbing experimental equipment hidden in Dr. Krauss' house and arrested him.
Dr. Krauss was later arrested and held in a solitary cell in the Gravenville police department on the night that the Ghost Master attacked it. However, he was freed by the mysterious Dr. Brunner.
Later, three more university students began investigating the forest and - with the help of the Ghost Master - were lead to the cabin and the tome. They attempted the ritual and lost their souls to the now completely summoned Darkling. Unfortunately, Dr. Krauss had set a ghost trap in the basement, which promptly captured the Darkling.
Insane genius and secretive worshipper of the Darkling, Dr. Krauss intends to unleash the apocalyptic potential of his deity.
Dr. Krauss transported the Darkling to his laboratory at the top of Gravenville's hospital and placed it in a permanent ward powered by the thoughts of mental patients in the asylum. With the Darkling fully and safely contained, the professor began to study and worship the power of the spirit, slowly driving himself further into madness. When the Ghost Master released the mental patients and caused the ward to fail, the Darkling immediately escaped and devoured Krauss's soul.

Dr. Greenwood is a compulsive womaniser, and is having an affair with about half the nurses in the hospital.
Dr. Seth Greenwood is a mortal. He's a doctor at Gravenville's hospital. He's also cheating on most of the female staff, meeting up with different nurses in private areas of the hospital to make out. This behavior enrages Brigit, the insane ghost of a spurned bride, who demands for Seth to be lead to her, where she appears before him to lament his actions. After his encounter with Brigit, Seth flees from the hospital and isn't seen again.

【Earl Walton】
Cousin Earl has been staying with the Hamner clan for a few weeks, helping out on the farm.
Earl Walton is a mortal. He's a cousin of the Hamner family. Though he at first helped the family run the farm, he began to work against them. Digging up the skull of the Dragoon, he sequestered himself in the farm's windmill and began using rituals to summon the headless horseman's spirit and have him begin to chase down members of the family. With the help of the Ghost Master, his plot was uncovered and he was sent fleeing from the farm by the very spirit he sought to control.

Eddie Venus is a mortal. He's a croupier aboard Don Bartholemew's yacht. He fears the don so much that he rigs all of his gambling games to insure that he never loses any of the don's money. His cheating was once discovered by Knuckles, whom Eddie shot. Since then, making Eddie lose despite his cheating has been one of Knuckles driving goals as a ghost.
